A Garden of Talking Flowers
Take a pause, leave your screen, and focus on what you see in front of you.

On a nice spring day not so long ago, I chilled in my backyard with my tulips and I had an unexpected realization. My father had planted tulip bulbs some time ago and living in the northern hemisphere, (it is now springtime) the little tulips bloomed into colorful amazing beauties.
I was sitting there relaxed trying to meditate and I was just staring at them. After some time, I was taken over by their existence. I was touching them, smelling them, and trying to activate all my senses.
I think I was lost, like Alice in Wonderland with the garden flowers. It felt like another realm and I was convinced that the tulips were very much aware of my own presence there. Now I want to say that I was sober. Experimenting with altered states and practicing meditation after some time the feeling that you are “somewhere else” or feeling naturally ecstatic is not something new. I was very much grounded to the Earth, but I felt being in ‘ a in between space’, very subtle changes but you feel that something feels different.
I dipped my toes in the unseen and I felt connected with nature.
I feel now that something deeper in me recognizes itself in Nature and that we are a part of something larger.
We need to take it slow, reflect and introspect. We have forgotten what it means to be part of Nature and what it can teach us.
I wanted to add a short poem from Alex Elle, here it is…
“there will be moments when
You will bloom fully and then
Wilt, only to bloom again.
If we can learn anything from
Flowers is that resilience is born
Even when we feel like we are
Dying.”
Talk with the flowers, talk with the trees talk with the stars and talk with the sea…
